A structural steel package needed to move cleanly from engineering design through to something a fabrication shop could build from, without losing accuracy at any handoff between engineering, fabrication and erection.

The challenge

  • Design intent had to become fabrication-ready documentation without introducing errors or ambiguity.
  • Engineering, fabrication and erection teams needed to stay coordinated on the same information.
  • Connection details had to satisfy both structural review and shop-floor practicality.

Our approach

  • Reviewed structural design documentation to establish detailing intent and load paths.
  • Built 3D steel models to coordinate members, connections and clashes before drawings were issued.
  • Produced fabrication shop drawings, GA and erection drawings from the coordinated model.
  • Supported connection detailing queries through fabrication and site erection.
